Liz Eckland was photographed by the Logan Square Blue Line station on Milwaukee Avenue. She was on her way to work at a vintage store in Wicker Park.
Do you own a lot of vintage clothing?
Yeah, I have a good mixture of new and used. I really love to collect. I love faux vintage Chanel because of the nostalgic tackiness that was implied at the time, the materials were so cheap! I also love mod pieces.
I can see that from what you’re wearing today. Tell me more about your dress.
It’s a label called Young Edwardian. It’s got this crushed velvet and this beautiful graphic color-blocked pattern on it. I think these colors are really complementary and unusual.
What other fashion-related activities do you do?
If I’m not at work I’m constantly researching labels and blogs for fashion. I also have my own blog and my Etsy store. Oh, and I love to sew.
