Eugene Delmundo and Janine Supnet were visiting from New York City.
So far what have you enjoyed the most here?
Janine: Chicago is a beautiful city and very clean. Catching the views of historic skyscrapers from the First Lady architectural boat tour down the Chicago River was pretty amazing! Also, the locals here are super friendly and the food and drink scene are great. Violet Hour in Wicker Park was my fave!
What do you think of the fashion you’ve seen in our streets?
Janine: I think the Wicker Park/Bucktown area is really cool. Sort of similar to the Brooklyn scene, very grungy, hippy and vintage all done in a tasteful way.
Did you coordinate these metallics on purpose?
Eugene: No, we just really love anything that has a nice bright shine to it. Maybe that’s why we love the “Bean” at Millennium Park so much.
Janine, where did you get these amazing acid wash baggy pants? Any great shops you recommend in NYC?
Janine: I found this pair in a thrift shop in Buffalo. Eugene and I love thrift shopping out of town—we were just doing that. But, if we’re not finding gems at thrift stores or vintage shops, we’re most likely shopping at Dover Street Market or Opening Ceremony [in NYC].
What does style mean to you?
Janine: Individuality and comfort.
