New Middles: From Main Street to Megalopolis, What is the Future of the Middle City?
(Downtown Columbus, Indiana)
“What makes Columbus’ design history so unique is the investment in architecture as a social project,” say Iker Gil and Mimi Zeiger, who are set to co-curate the 2020–21 Exhibit Columbus, a symposium and exhibition cycle that speculates on the future of the center of the United States and the regions connected by the Mississippi Watershed. The site-specific, future-oriented installations are worth a road trip.
Opens August 21
